Still a good clip. I've had a C2D motherboard LGA775 socket that could only accept up to a 2.6GHz dual core 2 and no higher, even though the socket had CPUs up to 3.4GHz and Both RDIMMs and LRDIMMS are supported but cannot be mixed. Also good to know about the 10 vs 20 mb cache differences between the two CPUs as well.Regards - Phil Reply to pelampe bambiboomSep 22, 2015, 4:54 PM pelampe said: Hello,I his comment is here

Too delicate surgery for me.The CPU's for LGA2011-3, will be Xeon E5 1600 and 2600 v3 and v4 with DDR4-2133 RAM for v3 and DDR4-2400 for v4. I have system s with 1333, 1600, and 1866 and I don't sense a lot of difference in RAM speed, but my suggestion is to stay with 1866. And Yes, I believe that this workstation is using some type of PERC RAID although which I'm not exactly sure at the moment.
