You can kill one with kill where the number on the left in the output is the process id. But still I can see the background redraws, where in IE I don't. http://pghtix.com/dell-xps/dell-xps-13-9350-2016-buzz-when-scrolling-but-only-on-battery-any-help.html
permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]cr41g0s 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago(0 children)Same here. Windows will say that driver is not compatible. I did mine by signing .inf file with my company's certificate, but I'm not sure if I can redistribute it. Edit : Ok I just read the part of it being an insider build.
tired of using IE. Happens at random times permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]MaskingTape83 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago(3 children)Latest windows 10 insider build has completely fixed the scrolling for me permalinkembedsavegive gold[–]infectedmethod[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago*(2 children)Unless Tested the issue on windows 7,8.1 using chrome version 42.0.2311.54 and stable 41.0.2272.101 with below steps 1. I've put it to -25, apparently the lower the number the faster it scrolls.
Also, the pointer very often accidently move to another place in the text when I write. http://bartongeorge.net/2015/09/30/alternate-touchpad-configuration-for-xps-9343-developer-edition-running-ubuntu-15-04/ Here my review : The Barton George's instructions seem incomplete to me. but you need to add an xorg.conf.d config to enable most of the basic features that the synaptic driver enables by default. https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/3twtyn/dell_xps_13_9350_scroll_speed_and_google_chrome/ Once it's accepted for 4.5, my plan is to request it be backported to stable kernel releases.
Microsoft Edge does work great and Chrome is slow and scrolls choppy. Scroll and 2/3/4-finger gestures are at your disposal. permalinkembedsavegive gold[–]DrThroatbanger 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago(2 children)Has anyone else tried this yet? Comment 18 by [email protected], Aug 20 2015 Processing Just an update here, Microsoft is aware of the issue on their end and have stated that they'll be rolling out some precision
THIS IS IT FELLAS. How to check from cmd if the feature is implemented ? Has anyone managed to solve palm detection on Ubuntu 15.04 ? The Microsoft Precision Touchpad spec is here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn467314%28v=vs.85%29.aspx The specific feature is the "confidence" feature.
From my /etc/mobprobe.d/blacklist.conf # remove psmouse because we want the mouse to work over I2C bus blacklist psmouse jared-dominguez commented Jul 22, 2015 But why PS2 has been blacklisted by default this content linuxstudio commented Dec 23, 2015 Today I finally had the time to try the patch and I can confirm that it works very well. You can tell Microsoft the reason your laptop is NOT rated #1 on Amazon, and because it only has 3 stars average on Amazon, is because of this malicious software driver musicformellons commented May 29, 2015 Yes, issue #3 still unresolved for both of us.
So, we expect the first Windows 10 update to resolve this very soon (in the next few weeks at most). There might be a solution for what you're asking. jroper commented Oct 16, 2015 @jared-dominguez What would be the process for a community member to implement support for the confidence feature? weblink dchambers commented Sep 11, 2015 Curiously, I held off buying this laptop until there was a work-around for this issue, but for me it turns out that I've never accidentally touched
I noticed that this was the device in use and not SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad, because setting the Device Enabled property to 0 on the latter didn't disable my touchpad but on Comment 6 by [email protected], May 16 2015 Processing I also have an XPS 13 QHD+ with I7, with Chrome 42, and have the same issues described in #5. This is one of the issues that could be fixed from said position.
It work's with Windows 10.
cboettig commented Sep 11, 2015 Thanks @jared-dominguez and others for their comments on this thread. I am not getting any more issues with my tap-to-click sticking, but the control feels off. Your mouse and touchpad abilities MAY go dead, just Windows key and restart. permalinkembedsavegive gold[–]Trippze[S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago(1 child)it's not a mac thing, it scrolls just fine on every other browser, it actually is a chrome problem only permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]digitaltrance 0 points1 point2
permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–]clabern 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago(0 children)Yea, I have one of the XPS 13's myself. No reposts, spam or rehosted content. What happens instead of that? check over here musicformellons commented Dec 2, 2015 Holy!
Disabling i2c mode? (not sure if I follow the thread above; seems maybe that ps2 is not a fall back option on the most recent BIOS? However, the scroll lag happens to me, when scrolling on the touchpad. Sometimes the cursor will stick to its place and not react further even after normal moving the finger on the touchpad. Example: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10966710/choppy-laggy-scroll-event-on-chrome-and-ie I just retried the Youtube page.
Scrolling was. xinput output : Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ DLL0665:01 06CB:76AD UNKNOWN id=12 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Also I think the scrolling solution is poor compared to earlier versions of touchpads. Note that newer BIOS versions (any that we ship the XPS 13 DE with) only use HDA audio and I2C for the touchpad.
