DELL XPS 9550 Touchpad Was Out Of Place Due To Battery Bulge
permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply[–]Firstprime 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago(1 child)I got the one year premium support with onsite servicing option, and if I recall correctly that was the standard warranty that came with once temps reach 60+ the fans seem to kick in and the laptop becomes cool again really quick. Keep in mind that we're really looking at 15.6" LCD vs. 17.3" LCD, though, so in terms of total size you're looking at 1.3" wider and .9" deeper on the L701x Otherwise a home-based computer is better off as 17". his comment is here
Of course, playing games is one of the most demanding things you could actually do on this computer, so in everyday use the fan will settle down quicker, if it ever Reply lydiawang - Thursday, December 27, 2012 - link Last month, I just bought a DELL XPS L501x, and also bought a DELL XPS L501x Battery on the site http://www.batterymag.co.uk/dell-xps-l501x.html , And the screen could have been ideal for a 13 incher, if not for the poor brightness, but hopefully I’ll be able to do something about that in due time. But with all the ram and SSD storage you can pack into modern laptops, they're really good dev machines. copperx 81 days ago Decent machines indeed as long as you http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/20000728
Reply Evil_Sheep - Wednesday, November 10, 2010 - link eh as a former M1330 owner i wouldn't describe it as either awesome or sleek, it's actually a bit chintzy but it This seriously looks like 'hey we need some high quality materials and Apple like design cues!' but then they just f*ed up everything in the process of getting it to market.Seriously, I tried removing battery , a triend staring it withiout battery.
If not, you may want to try choosing "All processes, hierarchically" from the View menu in Activity Monitor. xanderstrike 78 days ago I "solved" the problem by restoring a week I'd say anything over 2 years is a huge win. pbowyer 81 days ago Thanks for alerting me to these, I've kept looking at the proper 10keyless keyboards like Topre Yes, touchscreens can be nice, especially on 2-in-1s, but I’m more of a clamshell laptop kind of guy and hate glare. I am now having the same issue and am trying to figure out the easiest way to get a replacement battery.
But there isn't a functional advantage to keyboards with a lot of feedback. scholia 78 days ago Got any research to show that? I have two 27" displays to make up for the loss of the laptop display. corn13read 81 days ago You've never used a business thinkpad for more than 15 minutes Ask a question - opens in a new window or tab Place bid Time left: Current bid: (Approximately ##1##) Shipping: Import charges: (estimated and based on max bid) To be provided dig this It's the 9 lbs.
I happen to like the L501x; if I had any serious complaints with it I wouldn't have given it the Gold EC award. From what I can tell, there’s no light sensor that would know not to illuminate the keys outdoors, so you will have to do all the adjustments by hand. I've been contacting dell service center and they replaced my motherboard and reinstall windows, but after one or two weeks the issue came back. So an i7-740QM runs at a base 1.73GHz but can Turbo as high as 2.93GHz when only one or two threads are active.
Weird, I didn't find that model on Asus' site.Shame about the keyboard not coming in different variants, though. http://threads158.rssing.com/chan-11930949/all_p634.html Then you don't need to run a VM, but still get the same isolation. mjolk 81 days ago Not the person you asked, but I use Vagrant because I deploy This is quite possibly one of the ugliest laptops I've seen in a while. Is that due to just the pressure from underneath or is the trackpad damaged by the battery swelling?
The auction has ended, but the reserve price was not met. this content The XPS’s display only leans back to about 150 degrees, which is fine for desk use, but not for those moments when I lie in bed with the laptop leaning on Item is in good condition. You could replace the ssd, but it was a non-standard form factor, so you needed to buy an expensive m.2 converter. The keyboard dropped keystrokes. The screen was meh for the time. This was
It's much better than the ~1 year old Mac Book Pro I have for work. Fair I guess) svennek 81 days ago Then you should try the X1 Yoga - basically an X1 Carbon 4th gen with the yoga hinges and a wacom digitizer and Maybe. weblink I can feel and hear it flexing as my left wrist rests on the palm rest while typing.
Had the new battery within a week. It took less money and significantly less time than dealing with Dell. If this had a mobile Radeon 5650 in it it would be -perfect- for me.
I hope so otherwise the 15 is a much better choice (for my needs anyway.)My personal cutoff for weight is 5lbs.
Reply strikeback03 - Wednesday, November 10, 2010 - link Umm, yeah, I would say you fit the target market for a Mac exactly. I can't restore the laptop with the recovery partitions or software as this somehow became corrupted during the downgrade to Windows 8. I finally received a commercial offer from their side which was very badly made: there was no indication of what they are actually selling, just a "Out of Warranty Service - Reply PlasmaBomb - Wednesday, November 10, 2010 - link Any chance of you asking for one and doing a review of it?Thanks :) Reply tipoo - Wednesday, November 10, 2010 -
I've got the battery at 98.7% of designed capacity and it's seems to be now at 98.6%. It was able to easily max my Internet connection near the router and the signal strength remains strong, with almost similar download speeds, at 30 feet away with 2 walls in Reply Taimfrey - Wednesday, December 15, 2010 - link I've been looking at this laptop for a while and have customized it on their website a few times to figure out http://pghtix.com/dell-xps/dell-xps-15-9550-overheating.html That's why the comments don't appear immediately once you've posted them, but usually after a few hours or even longer.
I've used one with Cherry MX blue switches at two jobs and no one has threatened to murder and/or fire me yet. That’s what I had on the Lenovo and that’s what I appreciate on a laptop. Just look at the first picture posted and tell me thats not more hideous than a puddle of urine. At least the previous XPS had leather and modern styling. Reply JarredWalton - Thursday, November 11, 2010 - link Yes, we've asked Dell for the L701x.
Reply Shadowmaster625 - Wednesday, November 10, 2010 - link Once you get a good coating of dust and daily grime in there, you can kiss this sucker goodbye.
