Pittsburgh Steelers Replacement News

Pittsburgh Steelers' James Harrison had to have knee surgery during the offseason and he is still recovering. The player has not yet taken to the field in a game this season for his team, so the Steelers have announced that he is going to be replaced. They have confirmed that linebacker Chris Carter will play in his stead and it is not clear when Harrison will return. He has been talking about his return in the media whenever he can, however he keeps missing team practices. This means that he stays out of the running for games and even nearly brought it down to a weekly basis evaluation process. The fact that he is being replaced by Carter, means that it is not likely Harrison will be returning to play any time soon.
Harrison is not the only player that the Steelers have recently replaced. Safety Troy Polamalu who played in the season opener, missed a recent game against the New York Jets. As fans know, from those who regularly watch NFL games to others who only watch them sometimes, when they are not doing other things like playing at Partypoker.com, when a player is not in the lineup for a game it is not a good sign for them. Indeed, Polamalu is recovering from a calf injury and has been missing practice as well. He will be replaced by Ryan Mundy, in a move that will be crucial to the team's overall performance.
One player who has returned to practices but is not yet fit enough to play in a game, is Rashard Mendenhall. The running back is undergoing rehab for an anterior cruciate ligament injury and is progressing well. He is not fit enough to come back to the team yet however, so has been ousted for the moment. -Paid Advertisement-
